Honolulu rail transit is a proposed 20-mile elevated rail line that will connect West O‘ahu with downtown Honolulu and Ala Moana.
Some major points of interest along the route include Honolulu International Airport, Aloha Stadium, and Ala Moana and Pearlridge Shopping Centers. Colleges and universities at or near transit stations include University of Hawai‘i at West O‘ahu, Leeward Community College, Honolulu Community College, and Hawaii Pacific University. Planned extensions include routes to University of Hawai‘i at Manoa, Waikiki and West Kapolei, pending future needs and funding.
